For my double exposures, I selected portraits for the base images and patterns or textures to overlay. I found that if I included another portrait in the overlay, it would sometimes become too busy and putting patterns was my best bet. I put the images into photoshop and dragged them over as a new layer. I then edited the opacity so that you could clearly see both images. In some images, I had to rotate or enlarge the overlay to get it the way I wanted, and in others I had to add a third layer. I feel that all the images but my self portrait have overlays that correspond with where the subject is. The portrait of Hailey has trees, showing us that she's with nature. I also feel that it describes Hailey's personality, since she seems to love the setting in the photo and loves nature. My photo of Connie has an overlay of bokeh lights, which I think gives it a feeling like she's in a city at night, surrounded by lights, which is where Connie seems to love.
