My photo essay consists of 12 photos from Walden Pond in Concord, Massachusetts. My class went on a field trip to the pond, and while most of them were off on a tour learning about it's history, a few other classmates and I got lost and did some learning of our own. I learned that even though hiking is not my forte, the woods are a great place to photograph. We also learned to stick with the leader and always carry a map. The photos in the set vary between close ups and shots from afar. Some of the photos focus on smaller details, but I made sure to throw in shots of the tall trees. When you're in the woods, you often tend to forget how small you are in comparison to the world, but gazing up at the trees towering above you puts it all into perspective
