My favourite portrait that I took was the second one in the set. I shot the photo horizontally and caught Meghan rubbing her eyes because it was last block of the day. The light was coming from the right, and on the computer this made the photo very underexposed. I didn't want to completely discard it because I liked the position that she was in and I knew it would be difficult to recreate it the way I wanted it. I decided to edit the photo to see what I could improve and I turned the brightness up, just to see what would happen. This created a lot of grain in the photo, and that wasn't what I was going for initially but I liked that it made it look like a film photograph. I think that there is something more mysterious and sentimental about film compared to digital photos, and I liked creating that feeling with this photograph. I think this photo creates a mixture of different feelings: fatigue, sadness, stress, etc.
