My favourite of the photos is the first one in the set. I took this photo down by the water near my house. I shot it close up to the plant but far away from the water. This created a foreground/middle-ground/background. The foreground being the plant, the middle-ground being the water, and the background being the houses in back of the water. I incorporated texture by focusing on the plant a lot and having it in focus. The depth of field is large because although the back isn't completely focused, it's not so blurry that you can't see. The shutter speed was set very high, since it was windy and I didn't want the plant to be blurry because of the motion.
