Matthew Brandt is an contemporary artist and experimental photographer that currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California. Brandt utilises different processes and materials to develop his photographs and manages to be aesthetically pleasing, as well as informative. In these photos from the set "Lakes and Reservoirs," each photo that was taken was later developed in a sample of water from whichever body of water that was the subject of the photo. The results are these wildly coloured photographs that please the eye, as well as illustrate the message of destruction by showing the effects of of the water on the photographs. In another set by Matthew Brandt, he photographed a series of portraits of his family and friends and the negatives were then developed in their sweat and tears.
