I constructed my installation of old milk caps. I spray painted them black and red and cut out circles of silver mylar to place in the middle of the caps. I then hot glued them together and suspended them using fishing line and a rod of bamboo. The theme of the backdrop was black and red because they're my favourite colours. For the most part my backdrop was successful, except for the hot glue coming undone on some of them. If I could change anything, I would have put more caps and put them a little more close together to make the backdrop a little more busy than it is now because it has a lot of empty space.
For the photo aspect, Mrs. Troutman and Amelia took portraits of me in front of it because it matched the outfit I had on. I also took photos of just the installation, that way I was also credible for that part of the assignment. The most successful of the photos is the third one in the set, which is my hair in front of the picture. I think it's the most successful because the composition is interesting and the colour of my hair matches the caps.
